Her research emphasizes Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic devices, integrating nanotechnology into simple systems for early disease detection. She also investigates materials science for anti-biofouling, anti-corrosive, antimicrobial surfaces, and sustainable polymers. Recent work includes bio-based PLA alternatives for lab equipment and sustainable materials in food packaging.
Publications highlight advancements in microfluidics (e.g., solvent-selective membranes, functional membranes for flow control), laser nano-processing in dentistry, and chemical recycling of textile waste. She has received awards like the IOPI Rosse Medal (2014) and was shortlisted for the IOP Bell-Burnell Award (2016).
She currently supervises three PhD students and contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives bridging physics, biomedical sciences, and environmental applications.
