Jennifer Forsberg is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Nevada, Reno (2016), an M.A. in English from Arizona State University, and a B.A.E. in Secondary Education and English from the same institution. Her teaching focuses on American Literature, 20th/21st Century Literature, and Business Writing.
Dr. Forsberg’s research examines gender, class, and American identity through literature, media, and art. Key areas include working-class studies, performativity, and the aesthetics of poverty. Her work has appeared in journals like Persona Studies, Journal of Popular Culture, and Journal of Working-Class Studies, alongside book chapters in The Routledge International Handbook of Working-Class Studies. She is currently developing a project analyzing poverty aesthetics across cultural forms.
Her scholarly reviews span works on labor literature, African American cultural history, and contemporary masculinity. Beyond academia, she engages in regional advocacy for food security, affordable housing, and equitable transportation initiatives.
