Seth Cosimini is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of English at Vassar College, with previous teaching experience at University at Buffalo, SUNY; University of Nevada, Reno; and Columbia University. He holds a BA from Wheaton College and MA/PhD from University at Buffalo.
His research examines 19th-century American romantic literature through the lens of post-1968 Black radical thought, exploring how racial terror structures aesthetic and political forms in American literature. Primary interests include African diaspora literature, 19th-century American culture, and critical pedagogy.
Publications focus on translingualism in academic settings, global hip hop culture, and racial representation in classic literature. Recent work demonstrates consistent engagement with themes of linguistic justice, post-colonial identity, and cultural power dynamics.
