Jennifer Crane

Jennifer Crane is a Professor and Chair of the Photography/Digital Imaging Area at the University of Saskatchewan's Department of Art and Art History since 2005. Her research focuses on the intersection of memory, archival practices, and photographic technologies, employing experimental analogue/digital processes. She leads the Lens Based Digital Research Lab funded by a 2007 CFI award, the first such grant awarded in Fine Arts at the university.
Her creative work encompasses large-scale digital prints, stereographic imagery, and fictional photographic archives exploring themes of place, narrative, and authenticity. Exhibitions include major venues in Canada, USA, Europe, and Asia. She has taught at NSCAD University, Memorial University, Thompson River University, and the University of Lethbridge.
