Jennifer Condon

Dr. Jennifer Condon is an Associate Professor with Tenure at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, holding joint appointments in the Department of Physiology and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves as Director of the Reproductive Sciences Graduate Program and Co-Research Director of the Women’s Reproductive Health Research Fellowship (WRHR).

Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms regulating gestational length, particularly the role of uterine myocyte endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress response in maintaining uterine quiescence during pregnancy. Her lab investigates how ER stress signaling generates tocolytic cascades to counteract uterotonic stimuli through caspase-dependent pathways.

Dr. Condon has served on numerous committees including the Wayne State University Academic Senate Faculty Hearing Panel, Promotion and Tenure Committee, and the Faculty Recruitment Committee. She has been a NIH/NICHD study section reviewer and grant reviewer for organizations including the Society for Reproductive Investigation.

Scientific awards include the Society for Reproductive Investigation Early Career Award. She has mentored graduate students and residents in the Department of Physiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and School of Public Health, and previously contributed to curriculum design at the University of Pittsburgh.
