Jennifer Byrd

Jennifer Byrd is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies and serves as the Undergraduate Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Studies (IDST) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds a Master of Arts degree.

Her research focuses on feminist theory, activism, gender and literary criticism, third-wave feminism, ecofeminist studies, and gender studies in the early modern period. She integrates interdisciplinary approaches to explore intersections of gender, literature, and historical contexts.

As an academic leader, she coordinates undergraduate programs in IDST and advises students. Her work emphasizes community engagement and scholarly outreach in gender studies.
