Jennifer A. Drake is Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Grand Valley State University (GVSU), appointed in April 2025 after serving as Acting Provost. She joined GVSU in 2020 as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her extensive academic leadership includes roles as Provost at The Evergreen State College and Dean/Professor at the University of Indianapolis. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and M.A./Ph.D. in English from SUNY Binghamton.
Her research focuses on Feminist Studies, English Literature, and Higher Education Administration, notably co-editing the book Third Wave Agenda: Being Feminist, Doing Feminism. Her scholarship explores third-wave feminism, gender identity politics, and cultural representation.
Honors include:
