Jennifer Burgess is an Assistant Professor of English at Meredith College, specializing in rhetoric, composition, and technical writing. She holds a PhD from The Ohio State University and an MA from the College of Charleston. Her research focuses on the rhetorical practices of late 19th- and early 20th-century American women, particularly through their business and professional writing. Dr. Burgess teaches courses in professional writing and composition. She has presented widely at conferences such as the Conference on College Composition and Communication and the Feminisms and Rhetorics Conference, exploring topics like Catholic women’s use of technical writing and archival methods in rhetorical analysis.
