Jennie Weiner is a Professor of Educational Leadership at the Neag School of Education, University of Connecticut. She holds an Ed.D. and M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College. Her research focuses on redefining educational leadership to be more inclusive and equitable, particularly in under-resourced schools. Key areas include gender and racial bias in leadership pipelines, organizational change, and strategies for advancing women in K-12 administration.

Her work often highlights the intersection of leadership, policy, and equity.
Recent Work: Her articles address leadership during the pandemic, racial diversity in teaching pipelines, and microaggressions faced by Black female principals. She serves as an expert witness in discrimination cases and leads initiatives like the Connecticut Female Superintendents Group.
