Professor Jenni Lightowlers is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University, appointed in 2023. She previously served as Dean of the Law School, where she expanded experiential learning programs including the Deakin Law Clinic and introduced electives in emerging fields like cyber law. As a founding partner of FAL Lawyers, she bridges academia and legal practice, specializing in intellectual property, research commercialization, and technology licensing.

Research Focus: Her expertise spans defence export controls, corporate governance, intellectual property litigation, data protection, and technology commercialization. She leads projects like reforming governance structures for the University of the South Pacific as Chief Commissioner.
