Jenni Holsinger is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Eastern Mennonite University, affiliated with the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences and the Department of Applied Social Sciences. She specializes in demography, migration, environmental sociology, race and ethnic relations, and urban sociology.
- Education: BA in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Washington
Her research employs quantitative methods to explore environmental inequity and the immigrant experience, with a focus on spatial assimilation and racial dynamics in urban contexts.
Key trends in her publications include analysis of immigrant family narratives (2011) and quantitative studies on Arab American residential patterns (2009), reflecting interdisciplinary connections between sociology, demography, and urban studies.
Jenni serves on multiple institutional committees, including the Mennonite Sociology Collaborative Management Oversight Board and the Oregon Extension Academic Governance Committee since 2014.
