Jenna McDonald

Jenna McDonald is a Lecturer at Jacksonville State University's College of Health Professions and Wellness, specifically within the School of Nursing. She joined the institution in 2019 after completing her BSN (2007) and MSN (2010) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her clinical background includes pediatric emergency care at Children's of Alabama and ongoing practice as a nurse practitioner.

Her primary research interests focus on pediatric health advancements:

• Pediatric injury prevention strategies
• Childhood obesity interventions
• Management of congenital cardiac defects
• Lactation education programs
• SIDS prevention research

At JSU, she teaches core nursing courses including Nursing Care for Children and Families, Ethics in Nursing, and Nursing Research & Outcomes. She additionally collaborates with the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind.
