Jenna Fisher

Jenna Fisher is an Assistant Professor of Digital Media & Journalism at Principia College. She holds an MS in Print Journalism from Columbia Journalism School and a BA in Mass Communication from Virginia Tech. With 15 years of professional experience, she previously worked as an editor and writer for The Christian Science Monitor and as a local daily reporter in Boston.

Her teaching focuses on reporting, writing, photojournalism, and media literacy, emphasizing contextual understanding of the media landscape. Scholarly interests include addressing misinformation/disinformation, ethical journalism, and solutions-oriented reporting. She advises the college newspaper The Principia Pilot.

Professionally, she has reported on issues like systemic racism in policing, local politics, and community-driven solutions. She is affiliated with the Society of Professional Journalists, St. Louis Press Club, and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), contributing to both Newspaper Research Journal and community journalism initiatives.
