- Education: PhD in Sociology from University of Michigan—Ann Arbor; MA in Latin American Studies from Tulane University
Her current book project, Shaping Subjectivities and Articulating Solidarity in Revolutionary Cuba, explores how revolutionary leaders create political subjects and foster unity. Her work has been published in American Sociological Review and Qualitative Sociology.
Recent publications analyze Revolutionary Cuba's immediate post-1959 period, emphasizing ideological consolidation through discursive construction of gender roles, mobilization of women's labor, and state-driven identity formation. These works employ comparative-historical methods to dissect regime-building strategies and their socio-cultural impacts.
