Jelena Z. Radosavljevic

Jelena Z. Radosavljevic serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. She holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences and has been affiliated with the institution since 2008, progressing from Teaching Assistant to her current role. Her research focuses on food allergens, protein chemistry, and environmental toxicology.

• Education: Undergraduate and Doctorate in Chemical Sciences, University of Belgrade (2002-2013)

Her scientific work examines protein digestion, allergenicity, and interactions with environmental pollutants. She leads projects on molecular food sciences and has contributed to understanding cross-linked proteins in food allergy. Current research includes SARS-CoV-2 detection methods and microplastic toxicity.

Active projects span Horizon 2020 initiatives, European Academy of Allergy collaborations, and Serbian national grants. She participates in teaching experimental biochemistry, environmental biotechnology, and scientific writing courses.
