Tanja D. Cirkovic Velickovic is a Full Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. She has been affiliated with the Faculty since 1997, progressing through roles including Graduate Assistant, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor before attaining her current position in 2013. Her research focuses on proteomics, food science, and molecular allergology.

Her scientific work emphasizes proteomics and allergen characterization, with recent projects addressing food allergy risk assessment, SARS-CoV-2 protein detection, and the impact of microplastics on allergic diseases. She leads the Center of Scientific Excellence and serves as Vice Dean for Science and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Chemistry.
Current projects include IMPTOX (Horizon 2020) and ShellPCR (DIASPORA), reflecting her leadership in international collaborations. She has received multiple awards for her contributions to allergology and proteomics research.
