Jeffry A. Simpson is a Distinguished University Teaching Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He directs the Doctoral Minor in Interpersonal Relationships and leads the Social Interaction Lab. His research focuses on adult attachment processes, human mating, social influence, and the impact of early developmental experiences on adult relationships, health, and parenting. Dr. Simpson has held editorial roles at journals such as Personal Relationships and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and served as president of the International Association for Relationship Research.
