Jeffry Burchard

Jeffry Burchard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD). He is also Managing Partner & Design Principal at Machado Silvetti, leading major international projects such as the Tun Razak Financial District in Kuala Lumpur and the Vietnamese-German University campus. His academic roles include teaching design studios, professional practice courses, and serving as GSD’s BSA representative.

Education: B.A. and MArch from University of Idaho College of Art and Architecture, followed by a GSD MArch II (2008, distinction). Professional accolades include AIA Young Architects Award (2020) and multiple BSA Honor Awards.

Research interests emphasize design excellence, urban design, and academic planning. He co-created the BSA’s Now-Practice-Now workshop series and hosts the Opening Soon lecture series. Projects span cultural, institutional, and urban-scale designs globally, including US Embassy work and university campus planning.
