Jeffrey Rice

Jeffrey Rice is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University. His research focuses on engineering education innovations, protein engineering, and bio-synthetic hydrogels. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology.

His work includes developing bacterial display technologies for peptide/protein library screening, biomaterials for tissue engineering, and electrochemical biosensors for medical diagnostics. Notable contributions include studies on metal complex cytotoxicity, fibrin-binding peptides, and growth factor delivery systems.
