Jeffrey P. Grossmann is an Associate Professor at St. John's University's Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies. He previously served as Interim Dean (2015-2016) and Chair of the Division of Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, and Homeland Security. A leading authority in Homeland Security, he architected the university's acclaimed Homeland Security Program. He holds a BS from St. John's University (1989) and a JD from Touro College (1993).
Research & Teaching: Specializes in Homeland Security enterprise, organizational security, legal issues, and critical infrastructure protection. Teaches courses including HLS 1001 (Intro to Homeland Security), HLS 1007 (Security Investigations), and HLS 1100 (Capstone).
Professional Contributions: Served as Chairman of ASIS International's Academic & Training Programs Council (2011-2012), contributed to DHS's PS-PREP standards, and evaluates military programs for the American Council on Education. Active in national security policy, appearing on The History Channel and advising governmental and professional organizations.
Additional Roles: Research Fellow at the Vincentian Center for Church and Society, Executive National Director of the Order of the Sword & Shield (Omicron Sigma Sigma), and Board Member of the International Society for Preparedness, Resilience, and Security.
