Jeffrey Kramer holds a Ph.D. in Bronze Age Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati and an M.A. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Arizona. He currently serves as an archivist (Junior Research Associate) and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Cincinnati, where he organizes archival materials from the department's archaeological projects since 1924 and teaches online courses on Ancient Sports, Classical Mythology, and Medical Terminology.
His research focuses on daily life in historical excavations, particularly the University of Cincinnati's excavations at Troy (1932-1938), and the ceramic transition from the Middle Bronze Age to Late Bronze Age in Greece's northeastern Peloponnese. Kramer has participated in major fieldwork projects at Tel Miqne/Ekron, Megiddo (Israel), Midea, and Dorati (Greece).
