Jan Marie Fritz is a Professor at the University of Cincinnati's School of Planning, with affiliations in the Departments of Sociology and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She also serves as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg's Department of Sociology.
- Education: B.A. from Bowling Green State University, M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Ohio State University and American University respectively.
Her research spans clinical sociology, environmental justice, gender equality, and conflict mediation. She has led initiatives like the Cincinnati for CEDAW Community Coalition and contributed to global policy frameworks, including UN Security Council Resolution 1325.
Her publications include award-winning works such as International Clinical Sociology and Community Intervention: Clinical Sociology Perspectives, and she edits Springer's Clinical Sociology book series.
