Jeffrey G. Agnew

Jeffrey G. Agnew is Professor of Practice in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Tulane University. He holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University (2008) and teaches courses in physical geology, paleobiology, and shark evolution.

Research Focus: His work spans:

• Shark tooth morphology and evolution
• Crustacean paleoecology and taphonomy
• Geoscience education programs

He developed the LaURGE initiative to improve geoscience literacy among Louisiana educators.

Publications examine predator-prey dynamics in fossil crustaceans, machine learning applications in paleontology, and educational strategies for geoscience engagement.
