Jeffrey D. Winkler is Merriam Professor of Chemistry and Undergraduate Chair at the University of Pennsylvania. His research develops novel synthetic methodologies and applies them to complex natural products with biological significance, including anticancer agents like ingenol and cortistatin A.

- Total synthesis of bioactive natural products
- Design of Hedgehog signaling inhibitors
