Dr. Jeffrey Cottrell serves as the Associate Dean of the School of Music and Professor of Low Brass and Theory at Hardin-Simmons University (HSU). He leads the School of Music while teaching trombone, euphonium, tuba, composition, computer music, and directing the HSU Jazz Ensemble.

He actively performs with ensembles like the Key City Brass Quintet, West Texas Jazz Orchestra, and Jazz Concho, and has recorded with groups such as Brave Combo and Keith Taylor.
