Jeffrey Bierman

Jeffrey Bierman is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University of Chicago, and also serves at the Driehaus College of Business, DePaul University, since 2016. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and dual BA degrees in Sociology and English from UC Berkeley, both earned with honors.

His research interests include Financial Analysis, Technical Analysis, Portfolio Management, Asset Pricing, and Capital Market Structure. Drawing from over 28 years of industry experience, his work bridges academic theory with practical financial market applications, particularly in technical trading and investment education.

He has produced numerous research reports covered by major financial publications such as Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and BusinessWeek. His industry expertise complements his academic role, particularly in teaching investments and portfolio management.
