Jeffery R. Roesler

Jeffery R. Roesler is the Ernest Barenberg Professor at UIUC, specializing in concrete pavement systems, fracture mechanics, and sustainable materials. His research encompasses roller-compacted concrete, fiber-reinforced pavements, and thermal properties of construction materials, with applications in infrastructure durability and urban climate mitigation.

Leadership roles include presidency of the International Society of Concrete Pavements and development of mechanistic-empirical design methods. Teaches pavement engineering, materials science, and geometric design while supervising doctoral candidates in transportation infrastructure innovation.
