Jeffery Gray

Jeffery Gray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University's West Lafayette campus. He holds cross-appointments with the Global Engineering Program and serves on the Professional Practice Advisory Committee and Undergraduate Advisory Council (UGAC).

Research Interests:

• Photovoltaic Systems: Specializes in heterojunction solar cell physics, multijunction photovoltaic efficiency optimization, and full-spectrum solar conversion technologies
• Biomedical Applications: Investigates light-activated metal-based anticancer agents with pH-dependent activation mechanisms
• Semiconductor Modeling: Develops numerical frameworks for analyzing carrier dynamics and loss mechanisms in advanced photovoltaic architectures

• His work spans two decades of photovoltaic innovation, including foundational modeling of Si heterojunctions and CdTe/CIS solar cells
