Professor Jeff Warburton is a faculty member in the Department of Geography at Durham University, UK. With expertise in fluvial geomorphology and sediment budget analysis, his work focuses on mountain sediment systems, peat erosion, and geocryology.
Research interests include:
- Experimental geomorphology
- Geocryology (active frost-sorted patterned ground monitoring)
- Geomorphology of braided rivers and mountain streams
- Sediment transfer processes in upland environments
- Peat mass movements and shallow landslide dynamics
- Hydraulic modeling of gravel-bed rivers
Scientific awards:
