Jeff Polunas is Assistant Professor of Sound and Projection Design at Kent State University's College of the Arts. A USA829 Sound Designer and TSDCA member, he previously won Scenie Awards for Sound Design (2015, 2017) and received a NAACP nomination for International City Theater's Fences. His design credits include Shakespeare in Love, Spring Awakening, and Urinetown.
Specializing in QLab programming and electronic instrument systems, he has designed for South Coast Repertory and served as USITT Special Events Sound Coordinator. He holds an MFA from UC Irvine and has taught at Pomona College and Cal State Northridge.
