Jeff Little

Jeff Little serves as Artist in Residence in Popular Music, Director of the Music Business Program, and Chair of the Music Department at Catawba College. With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, he bridges professional performance and academic leadership in music education.

His artistic interests span traditional Blue Ridge music, contemporary popular music performance, and music business administration. Little is particularly known for his virtuosic piano style that blends traditional Appalachian influences with innovative approaches, as noted by National Public Radio: "Jeff Little is a remarkable musician, steeped in the tradition of his native Blue Ridge, yet also a virtuosic and eclectic innovator."

Professional recognition includes:

• Distinguished Lecturer Award from The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development

As an educator and administrator, Little oversees the Music Department while maintaining active industry connections. His professional background includes artist management for major country music stars and international cultural ambassadorship through the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
