Jeff Klotzman is a retired professional with a 45-year career in television news, public school communications, advertising, and teaching. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from Texas Tech University (1976) and an M.A. in Mass Communications from the same institution (2000). He served as the Hutcheson Endowed Visiting Professor in the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech. His career included roles as news director at television stations in Lubbock, Madison, Austin, San Diego, and Phoenix, followed by service as Director of Media and Communications for Lubbock Independent School District until his retirement in 2021.
Research and professional interests span broadcast journalism, educational communications, and media strategy. His career highlights include leadership in newsrooms and institutional communications, emphasizing the intersection of media and societal impact.
