Jeff Bills-Solomon is an Associate Professor of Literature at Wake Forest University, specializing in American Literature from 1865 to the present, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Visual Narratives, and Creative Writing. Jeff Bills-Solomon's scholarship interrogates intersections of queer identity, literary modernism, and visual culture. His monograph So Famous and So Gay (2017) examines the cultural impact of Truman Capote and Gertrude Stein, while his peer-reviewed articles explore topics like mid-century homophobia in literary circles, Stein's experimental relationships with opium, and the iconography of Capote's early portraits. His creative writing contributions span short fiction addressing queer themes and bodily subversion.
