معرفی
Jeanne Wilson-Rawls is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University (ASU), serving as Director of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. Her research focuses on cell fate regulation during development and regeneration, particularly in skeletal muscle stem cells and gametogenesis. She holds a B.Sc. from McMaster University and a Ph.D. from St. Louis University School of Medicine, with postdoctoral training at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Her research integrates cellular, molecular, and genomic approaches to understand regeneration and stem cell biology, with notable work on lizard tail regeneration and muscle repair. She collaborates widely, including on projects involving biohybrid hydrogels and Myxomavirus-based therapies for muscular dystrophy.
Her publications highlight advancements in regenerative medicine, inflammation modulation, and comparative genomics. She actively contributes to academic service, including roles in the Anolis Genome Nomenclature Committee and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Teaching focuses on developmental biology and graduate seminars, with courses like BIO 351 and MCB 501. Her expertise spans developmental biology, genetics, and biochemistry, with a lab emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to regeneration.
