Jeanne Moore is an Adjunct Faculty member at the College for Creative Studies (CCS), where she contributes to the College of Liberal Arts. She holds a Master of Arts from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, and is currently a PhD candidate in Art, Theory, and Philosophy at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDSVA). Her research focuses on the intersection of art and community, particularly the role of aesthetics in contemporary art and visual culture.
Moore has extensive professional experience as a curator and educator. She previously served as Gallery Director at Madonna University for a decade and has taught humanities, art history, and visual culture courses there. Since 2007, she has been a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor School of Creative Arts, teaching Modern and Contemporary Art. Additionally, she co-owns MOSAIC Productions, LLC and OFFICE SPACE Gallery, where she organizes lectures and panel discussions related to contemporary art exhibitions.
Her notable academic contributions include presentations and workshops such as 'The Curator as Artist' at the Arts Council Windsor & Region (2019), residencies at IDSVA, and panel discussions for exhibitions like D•Construction: Metamorphosis of the City and Vanity/Divinity: The Bird as Visual Metaphor. Her work explores themes like ethics, aesthetics, and the truth of being, as well as the artifact of truth in museum displays.
