Jeanette Snider

Dr. Jeanette Snider is an Assistant Research Professor with the Social Justice Alliance and Anti-Black Racism Initiative and Adjunct Professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Affiliated with the Department of Sociology, her office is located in the Parren J. Mitchell Art-Sociology Building (Room 4123). She previously served as Associate Director for the Robert H. Smith School of Business Undergraduate Program Office.

Research focuses on racial equity in higher education through Critical Race Theory and Critical Multiracial Theory frameworks. Primary investigations include:

• Multiracial/biracial student identity development in monoracial organizational contexts
• Structural racism in Greek life and campus organizations
• Cross-cultural mentoring dynamics and equity-centered leadership
• Digital activism as pedagogical practice for social justice

Recent works (2020-2021) examine multiracial experiences in academia and sororities, while earlier scholarship (2012-2015) established foundations in mentorship efficacy and digital activism.
