Dr. Jeanette Arpero Bissoni is a Lecturer of Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), affiliated with the Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences. She transitioned from adjunct faculty in Spring 2020 to full-time status in Fall 2020. Her educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Criminal Justice from Amarillo College (2015), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminal Justice from WTAMU (2017), and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice from WTAMU (2019).
Her teaching focuses on courses such as Introduction to Law, Crime in America, Violence Against Women, Court Systems and Practices, and Social Research. Research interests include crime prevention policies, public health issues among vulnerable populations, and community justice strategies. She actively collaborates with criminal justice agencies and engages in community outreach efforts. Prior to her academic role, she worked at the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.
