Jeanelle Morgan, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Associate Department Head in the Department of Biology at the University of North Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. from Drexel University (2006) and a B.S. from Ursinus College (2000). Her research focuses on molecular and cellular biology, particularly gene regulation in yeast and environmental microbiology.

Dr. Morgan’s recent research explores fluorescently tagged yeast transporters, molecular detection of pathogens in poultry, and susceptibility of amphibians to chytridiomycosis.
