Jaymi-Lyn Adams

Jaymi-Lyn Adams, DHSc, is an Associate Professor at the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). With a clinical background spanning 19 years in private dental practices and a permit to administer local anesthesia, she transitioned to academia while maintaining her commitment to dental hygiene innovation and global outreach.

Her research focuses on reducing disruptive behavior in clinical education environments, promoting oral-systemic health, and advancing health equity. Her recent publications explore behavioral interventions in dental education, occupational safety, and global health initiatives. She has also investigated the use of complementary alternative medicine (CAM) for musculoskeletal disorders among dental hygienists.

Dr. Adams has received accolades including membership in Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society (2021) and Sigma Phi Alpha (2000). She has volunteered on international service trips since 2008 to improve access to dental care in Central America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Her professional affiliations include the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA) and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).
