Jayashankar Swaminathan

Jayashankar Swaminathan serves as the GlaxoSmithKline Distinguished Professor of Global Operations at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and Professor of Statistics and Operations Research in the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds dual appointments while leading research in business operations innovation.

His research spans operations strategy, global supply chain management, and sustainable business practices, with significant focus on emerging markets and technological disruption. Recent work examines climate change reputational risks for corporations and profit optimization in utility sectors through net metering policies.
