Judy Jones Tisdale

Judy Jones Tisdale is a Clinical Professor of Management and Corporate Communication and Area Chair at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She teaches core and elective courses in presentation skills and leadership communication across the Full-Time MBA, PhD, Undergraduate Business, Evening Executive MBA, Weekend Executive MBA, and Master of Accounting Programs, with a focus on professional communication.

• Key Achievements: Author of Effective Business Presentations (Prentice Hall, 2005), recipient of the Weatherspoon Award and Gerald Barrett Award
• Additional Roles: Creator of the inaugural Professional Communication course for UNC’s Professional Science Master’s Program, long-term facilitator of presentation training for UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and UNC Graduate School’s Dissertation Fellows

Her research focuses on communication strategies in business contexts, including leadership and academic presentation training. She joined UNC Kenan-Flagler in 1998 after a 13-year career as a vice president at Bank of America in sales and sales management.
