Jayakumar Chinnasamy

Dr. Jayakumar Chinnasamy is a Lecturer in Education at the University of the West of Scotland's School of Education and Social Sciences. With over 20 years of experience across India, Bhutan, Bahrain, and the UK, he specializes in Education and Business Management. He holds a PhD from the University of the West of Scotland (2022), focusing on educators' perspectives of internationalisation in Scottish HE. His research interests include international education, cultural identity, sustainable development, and leadership practices.

Education: PhD in Education (UWS, 2022). Professional memberships include Scottish Educational Research Association (SERA), British Educational Research Association (BERA), and the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA).

Research focuses on higher education internationalization, cosmopolitanism, sustainable development policies, and inclusive practices. He contributes to UN SDGs related to quality education and sustainable communities. Recent projects explore AI-generated eco-recommendations cross-culturally and environmental sustainability in Global South peri-urban areas.
