Professor Jay Tidmarsh is the Judge James J. Clynes, Jr., Professor of Law at the Notre Dame Law School, where he has been faculty since 1989. He holds an A.B. with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame (1979) and a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School (1982). A member of the Wisconsin Bar, he practiced as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice from 1982 to 1989.
