Jay Rinaldi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Production and Design (EPD) at Berklee, where he teaches music technology and electronic production. He is a full-time faculty member dedicated to exploring the creative potential of digital sound and synthesis.
His research interests center on music synthesis, focusing on the development and manipulation of both organic and non-organic sounds using hardware and software synthesizers. He emphasizes the synthesizer as a unique musical instrument capable of generating sounds beyond traditional instruments, expanding the sonic palette available to composers. His work bridges technical innovation with artistic expression in electronic music creation.
