Takuma Matsui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Production and Design (EPD) at Berklee College of Music, where he contributes to shaping the next generation of music technologists and electronic musicians. His role bridges creative practice and technical fluency in sound and technology.
His research and teaching interests center on the interplay between music, technology, and human perception. He emphasizes how tools such as audio rate modulation and filter oscillation serve broader artistic worldviews. Matsui encourages students to be mindful of the lens through which they interpret and create sound, fostering deep observational skills essential to artistic development.
