Javier Pajares Gutiérrez

Javier Pajares Gutiérrez is a Professor and Director of INSISOC research group at the Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales, University of Valladolid. He specializes in Project Management and Innovation Management, with particular focus on methodological innovations for project control and risk management. Pajares investigates how digital transformation impacts project methodologies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

His research examines project management in complex environments, developing new approaches for uncertainty management and dynamic scheduling. Current interests include professional competencies for managing digital transformation projects and complexity management frameworks. He has participated in numerous R&D projects with European, national, and private funding.

Pajares serves as vice-president of the PM² Alliance Academic & Universities Advisory Committee and belongs to AEIPRO-IPMA SPAIN's Steering Committee. He contributed to the Spanish translation of the European Commission's PM² methodology guide.
