Javier Ortiz is an Adjunct Professor with expertise in Water Law and a background in family law practice. He is affiliated with Beacon Attorneys, PLLC, where he serves as a partner specializing in complex divorces, parenting plans, adoptions, and civil matters. His advocacy work includes commitments to Latino/a, LGBT, and people of color communities, alongside roles in the King County Diversity Committee and King County Family Law Section.

His research and professional interests emphasize civil rights, social justice, and legal advocacy. Fluent in Spanish, he actively mentors Seattle University law students and newly licensed attorneys.
