Peter Mazzone is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Law, Seattle University. He holds a JD from Seattle University School of Law (1995), a PhD in Geology from the University of Massachusetts (1988), an MS in Geology from Miami University (of Ohio) (1983), and a BS in Geology from Illinois State University (1981).
With over 25 years of legal practice, Mazzone specializes in criminal defense, including high-stakes death penalty cases. He began his career as a trial attorney at the Snohomish County Public Defender's Association (1995–2000), later transitioning to private practice as the founder of Mazzone Law Firm, PLLC. Recognized as a distinguished litigator, he has argued before the Washington State Supreme Court and is a respected figure in both state and federal courts.
Mazzone is actively involved in legal education, frequently lecturing on criminal defense strategies, pre-trial motions, and case development for fellow attorneys. His expertise spans complex litigation, trial advocacy, and ethical legal practice.
