Javed Kaisar is a lecturer at the Department of Anthropology, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, where he has taught courses like 'Anthropology of Design' and 'Urban Anthropology' since 2013. Concurrently, he is a PhD candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, affiliated with the Emmy Noether Group Sand and the International Max Planck Research School Global Multiplicity. His research explores the materiality of coastal infrastructure, Rohingya refugee dynamics in Bangladesh, and the socio-environmental impacts of sand mining.
