Hans-Georg Stephan is a Professor of Medieval and Early Modern Archaeology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Principal Faculty at the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) ANARCHIE. His research focuses on interdisciplinary studies of settlements, material culture (stoneware, glass), and cultural connections in Central Europe and beyond, with an emphasis on globalization in early modern times.
